In Behind The Scenes, News

As a business, throughout the pandemic we tirelessly worked to promote the travel industry, both by writing to our MP’s regularly highlighting the difficulties being faced and working with the media to articulate that travel was an industry worth fighting for.

Back in the summer many of you met our friend, Julia Lo-Bue Said, the Chief Executive of the Advantage Travel Partnership at our Together Again event. Julia was the face of the travel industry to the public throughout the pandemic – regularly appearing on television and radio to explain rules and policy, and has continued raising the industries profile ever since.

In order for government to understand both what travel businesses and consumers need, Julia has formed a lobbying group, working together with others within the industry to directly influence policy.

As a member of Advantage (the UK’s largest travel partnership), we couldn’t miss the opportunity to get involved. That’s why we’re joining the newly formed Advantage Policy Advisory Group along with nine other Advantage members to directly drive policy decisions in government. Any policy change by government on travel business, has a direct impact on to you, our clients – so it’s important that our voices are heard.
