Romania
Romania isn’t your typical holiday destination. Many associate it with Transylvania and the legend of Dracula, but it has more to offer than just a fictional character, but it’s full of beautiful landscapes, medieval churches, Saxon churches, magnificent fairy-tale castles, and lovely small villages.
The capital, Bucharest was once known as ‘Little Paris’ and from the architecture, you can understand why, with the large boulevards and districts designed by French architects. Not too far away is the medieval town of Brasov, with its main square and historic 15th century hall. Just outside the city is the castle in Bran, famous with its connection to Dracula.
