BEST TIME TO VISIT
Winter has the better weather, from November through to Easter – although this is also the busiest time for tourists.
Given there are no direct flights, travel time will be somewhere in the region of 14 hours depending on connections. The direct flight to Cancun is about 10, plus travelling time.
Those who love beautiful scenery, diving and a less commercial beach vibe.
HOW TO GET THERE
It’s possible to fly direct to nearby Cancun, or alternatively through America. Houston, Miami or New York being the more common.
