Kilimanjaru Climb – Lemosho Route

Summiting Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route offers a longer, more gradual ascent, ideal for acclimatisation and admiring the striking southern slopes. With a guide-to-climber ratio of 1:2, a dedicated support team, and comprehensive safety measures including emergency oxygen and a medical kit, climbers are in expert hands. The route provides a steady pace through lush forests, moorlands, and dramatic volcanic landscapes, with nights spent at carefully chosen camps to aid acclimatisation. Porter welfare is also a priority, with fair pay and strict equipment checks in place to ensure responsible trekking practices.
The 12-day itinerary begins with an overnight flight to Kilimanjaro and a stay in Arusha before the trek starts. Over the next seven days, trekkers tackle varied terrain, from forest trails to the high-altitude reaches of the Barafu Ridge. The final ascent to the summit at Uhuru Peak is made under torchlight for a sunrise reward. After reaching the summit, a rapid descent leads back through tropical forests to Mweka village.
