SAFARI
When you think of a Safari, you tend to think of Africa. The well known regions of Eastern and Southern Africa are home to some of the most unique, thrilling and memorable experiences with wildlife anywhere in the world.
The easiest entry to a safari is South Africa, with its direct flight to either Cape Town or Johannesburg. When staying in or around the Cape, there are a number of excellent game reserves, and have the advantage of being Malaria free, all of which you can drive to. There is also the Kruger National Park, just a short flight from Johannesburg, and the location of many of South Africa’s most luxurious safari camps.
Botswana is home to the amazing Okavango Delta, an expansive wetland within a desert, or see go to see the Elephants in the huge Chobe National Park. Experience a safari of a different kind in small canoes being pushed by boatmen through the narrow channels.
Kenya and Tanzania are also high on most people’s safari list, with one of the most famous wildlife reserves of them all, the Masai Mara. Along with the Serengeti in Tanzania it’s home to one of the world’s more incredible wildlife experiences, The Great Migration.
A safari is great to build into a larger itinerary, be it a beach stay, visiting a city like Cape Town, or exploring other parts of the region.
