Mauritius
Mauritius has so much to offer beyond the beach, but it really is hard to move beyond it. The island located in the Indian Ocean has miles upon miles of palm-fringed sandy beaches, and is almost entirely encircled by stunning coral reefs. Who could ask for more?
The clear waters are perfect for diving, snorkelling, swimming, kayaking and anything else you might want to do either on or below the water. The marine parks of Blue Bay and Balaclava are world renowned and are real treat for snorkelers, whilst it’s also a great place to go deep sea fishing, or stop dolphins on a catamaran cruise.
Most of all its about the people, the Mauritians know about hospitality and it shows. Rarely do you find such a warm and authentic welcome, established over so many years with influences from all over the world creating their own unique culture and heritage. They really do make you feel welcome.
Mauritius is a great destination for weddings, making the whole process extremely simple and straightforward, whilst the hotels are really well tuned to the needs of the bride and groom, and sometimes their extended family. It really is a perfect place for a wedding.
