River Cruises

Travelling on a river cruise is an amazing experience. The only similarity to that of its ocean counterpart is that you’re floating on water, nearly everything else is different.

Naturally, the vessels are smaller, you’re not going to get thousands of people on a river cruise, and you’re more likely to have around 200 people onboard, although there are some which are smaller. The very nature of travelling down rivers, is you are going to see amazing scenery from your cabin, no matter where you are – its a great way of watching the world go by!

They are also really convenient, as many of the rivers you can sail on will mean you’re able to disembark in the centre of the town or city – and explore on your own without the need of a transfer (although some like the Douro bus trips are advised), so you don’t have to take expensive excursions.

The river cruise ships are compact, they need to be to get under bridges, but they will have at least a restaurant, bar, and a top deck often with a hot tub or small swimming pool. If on the middle or top deck, many cabins will also have a balcony or juliet balcony, with only the bottom deck having small windows.

We work with the majority of river cruise lines – from those which are more simple and informal, to those which are the height of luxury. There really is something for everyone!
