Statue of Liberty

United States

‘The land of the free’ is one of the UK’s favourite holiday destinations, and who would be surprised with so much on offer over their vast lands. There’s enough to capture anyone’s imagination from thrill sealers, to naturalists, historians to film lovers – no matter where you turn, the warm heart of the nation will ensure you have a great time.

Having travelled ourselves around America, we of course have our favourites. One of the most captivating to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the area around Asheville in North Carolina, which was just so surprising. The wonderful Biltmore Estate is definitely worth visiting, as well as Lake Lure where they filmed ‘that’ iconic scene in Dirty Dancing, or if you just want to see the most wonderfully beautiful scenery which looks wonderful in the fall.

New York is also a must, and we would really recommend to see a show on Broadway as well, especially if you’re a fan of the West End – and maybe see one you can’t see in the UK! Or visit one of the many clubs off-broadway – and you can’t go to New York without being a tourist either.

Beaches are well covered – you could have a villa in Florida, or maybe a fly drive in California, and there’s plenty of National Parks too. There are the bright lights of Los Angeles and Hollywood, or the eclectic city of San Francisco – enough to tempt anyone to a holiday in the USA.
