BEST TIME TO VISIT
It can get very cold in the winter (especially the further north you get), although the summer can be pleasant and great for walking and hiking.
Just over an hour to Oslo and Bergen, but longer to go further north to Tromso and Trondheim.
For those who love the scenery, it has some of the most spectacular fjords and coastline.
HOW TO GET THERE
Flights are available from London to Oslo, Stavanger, Gothenburg, Bergen, Trondheim and Tromso.
Norwegian, although many people speak English well.
IDEAL TO COMBINE WITH
It’s best to do a multi-centre holiday in Norway, maybe take the train from Oslo to Bergen (and the Flam railway), or take a Hurtigruten ship up the coast.
