Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and create lifelong memories on your holiday in Iceland!

Iceland is renowned for its awe-inspiring landscapes and geological wonders. Explore the famous Golden Circle, a route that takes you to the iconic sites of Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall, and the Geysir geothermal area. Marvel at the power and beauty of the mighty Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, where you can even walk behind the cascading water for a unique perspective. Discover the otherworldly landscapes of the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where massive icebergs float in a serene glacial lake. Iceland’s natural wonders offer a breathtaking backdrop for outdoor adventures and unforgettable photo opportunities.

One of the most sought-after experiences in Iceland is witnessing the mesmerizing Northern Lights. During the winter months, the dark Icelandic skies come alive with dancing lights of green, blue, and pink. Head to remote locations away from city lights, such as the Snæfellsnes Peninsula or the Icelandic Highlands, for the best chance to witness this natural phenomenon. Bundle up and prepare to be enchanted as the mystical Northern Lights illuminate the night sky, creating a truly magical and unforgettable spectacle.

Immerse yourself in Icelandic culture and traditions. Explore the vibrant capital city of Reykjavik, with its modern architecture, lively arts scene, and cozy cafes. Visit the famous Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, where you can relax in the warm, mineral-rich waters surrounded by a volcanic landscape. Delve into Icelandic folklore and legends at the Húsavík Whale Museum or the National Museum of Iceland in Reykjavik. Iceland’s unique cultural experiences provide insights into the country’s history, art, and folklore, adding depth to your holiday experience.

I went for a short break to Reykjavik, predominantly to see the northern lights. Being December, and the shortest day, it was surprising that it was dark all day, but on the other hand it never truly got light either.

While staying in Reykjavik, it allowed me to explore the city and take the famous Golden Circle tour – I did it by coach, but you can also do it by Jeep. This is absolutely worth doing, even if you’re just going to see the lights.

I was lucky to have seen them, even though they were not the clearest possible – but when staying in Reykjavik you have to get out of the city for the best view – so best advise is to take something warm!
