BEST TIME TO VISIT
A recommendation is to go earlier in the season before it gets too hot in the summer. May, June and maybe early July would be good, or later on in the year when it starts to cool down.
Over 2 hours from the UK to Budapest
Culture, history, architecture – and those who enjoy visiting small towns.
HOW TO GET THERE
There are flights from many UK airports to Budapest (Luton, Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted included), with occasional services to Debrecen.
IDEAL TO COMBINE WITH
We would highly recommend a river cruise, either up or down the Danube (towards Austria, or towards Romania) – or maybe get the train to Prague as part of a longer itinerary.
