Easiest to fly to Nice, and then either take the helicopter or a road transfer just down the coast to Monaco. There is also a railway if you would like to combine it with a stay in Nice.

Hermitage

The Hermitage is just a stone’s throw away from the Place du Casino. This chic, old-world hotel boasts some amazing public rooms, including a stunning Baroque-style banqueting hall. And get this, they have a Michelin-starred restaurant called ‘Pavyllon’ that’s got a terrace with views of the harbour and the Mediterranean that are straight out of a postcard.

Oh, and did I mention the famous Thalassotherapy centre? It’s got an indoor seawater pool, and next door, you’ll find the cosy ‘Crystal Bar’ serving light bites. The 280 bedrooms here are super elegant, with Louis XV-style furniture and luxurious bathrooms.

This chic design hotel has been revamped and is situated in the peaceful harbour district of Fontvieille, just a five-minute walk from Place du Casino thanks to their free shuttle service.
