Easiest to fly to Nice, and then either take the helicopter or a road transfer just down the coast to Monaco. There is also a railway if you would like to combine it with a stay in Nice.

Our Favourite Hotels in Monaco
Hermitage
The Hermitage is just a stone’s throw away from the Place du Casino. This chic, old-world hotel boasts some amazing public rooms, including a stunning Baroque-style banqueting hall. And get this, they have a Michelin-starred restaurant called ‘Pavyllon’ that’s got a terrace with views of the harbour and the Mediterranean that are straight out of a postcard.
Oh, and did I mention the famous Thalassotherapy centre? It’s got an indoor seawater pool, and next door, you’ll find the cosy ‘Crystal Bar’ serving light bites. The 280 bedrooms here are super elegant, with Louis XV-style furniture and luxurious bathrooms.
Columbus
This chic design hotel has been revamped and is situated in the peaceful harbour district of Fontvieille, just a five-minute walk from Place du Casino thanks to their free shuttle service.
The 181 bedrooms are super comfy and are decked out with black-and-white photos of Monaco’s glamorous 1930s. The breakfast room has a terrace overlooking the Princess Grace Rose Garden, and there’s a lobby bar, a gym, and a summer swimming pool too.

The De Paris is a world-famous hotel in a fantastic location, right next to the Place du Casino and just a stone’s throw away from the harbour. It’s got a grand entrance and lobby, beautiful salons, and an overall vibe of luxury and elegance. They even have three restaurants, including Alain Ducasse’s famous ‘Le Louis XV’ with three Michelin stars! And guess what? They have 190 rooms. Oh, and did I mention they’re connected to the Hermitage’s Thalassotherapy centre? You can walk underground to their indoor seawater pool. It’s like a dream come true!
