The Lower Zambezi National Park is at its best from May to November, though a few camps remain open into the lush green season for those who prefer a quieter, vibrant wilderness. During your stay, expect elephants wandering into camp, superb riverfront settings, and a wealth of activities such as open 4WD safari drives, motorboat trips, canoeing, fishing, and guided walks. After arriving in Lusaka, you’ll take a short flight and transfer to Chongwe River Camp for a four-night stay, with all meals, local drinks, park fees, and shared lodge activities included.
Following your time in the Lower Zambezi, you’ll head by light aircraft to Livingstone and transfer to The Royal Livingstone by Anantara. Perfectly positioned near the entrance to Victoria Falls, this elegant hotel offers a relaxing end to your safari. During your three-night stay, you’ll have easy access to the Falls and a range of activities in Livingstone, including afternoon tea on the hotel’s beautiful riverfront lawns. After your stay, you’ll be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your return journey to London.

After arriving in Lusaka, you’ll fly to Mfuwe and transfer to Kakuli Bush Camp for your first two nights, where you can enjoy river views and choose between walking safaris or game drives. After exploring the surroundings, you’ll travel to the remote Luwi Camp, beautifully located along the seasonal Luwi River, ideal for walking safaris and experiencing the wilderness up close with expert guides.
The final stage of the journey takes you to Mchenja Camp, a luxurious spot built around a fallen ebony tree with stunning views over a sweeping bend in the river. Here you’ll enjoy some of the park’s finest game viewing, either on foot or during vehicle safaris, including the chance to head out on night drives. With stylish tents featuring Victorian baths and river views, Mchenja offers a fittingly peaceful and exclusive end to your South Luangwa adventure before returning via Mfuwe and Lusaka to London.

This journey through Sabah, Borneo begins with an overnight flight to Kota Kinabalu, where there’s time to rest before diving into local culture with a visit to Mari Mari Cultural Village. From there, the route heads north to Kudat, where guests enjoy a night in a traditional Rungus longhouse — a rare and memorable insight into local tribal life. The following day brings a flight to Sandakan and transfer to Sepilok, home to key conservation centres.
While in Sepilok, travellers visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre and the Sun Bear Conservation Centre, before heading by boat to Selingan Island to witness sea turtles nesting at night — a magical wildlife experience. Returning to the mainland, the itinerary includes a visit to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre before continuing on to the Kinabatangan River. A stay at Abai Jungle Lodge offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, with river safaris to spot proboscis monkeys, orangutans, and even pygmy elephants.
The final leg of the journey brings a welcome change of pace, with a return to Kota Kinabalu followed by four nights at a beach resort on Sabah’s coast — ideal for relaxing and reflecting on the adventure. On day 14, the return journey begins with a flight from Kota Kinabalu, arriving back in the UK the following morning.
