It’s amazing how a single decision can change the course of our lives. For me, that decision was to follow in my mother’s footsteps and pursue a career in travel. Over the past 23 years, I’ve had the privilege of holding various roles in the industry, each one more exciting than the last.

I still remember the thrill of finishing my degree in Leisure & Tourism at college and landing my first job at a multiple agency. But I didn’t stop there. I went on to work for two tour operators specializing in worldwide escorted tours and city break/self-drive packages. Later, I switched to a high-street independent agency, which suited me much better.

In 2000, my career took me to Spain, where I worked as a holiday representative and at Malaga Airport. The experience was nothing short of exhilarating. I met people from all walks of life, explored new cultures, and discovered hidden gems that I never knew existed.

After taking a career break to start a family, I realized how much I missed the excitement of the travel industry. Even the pandemic couldn’t keep me away from my passion. Since 2012, I’ve been instructing Zumba Fitness classes within my local community and as a freelancer for Champneys Resort Tring. It’s been a great way to stay connected with my love for travel and fitness.

When I’m not travelling or dancing, I enjoy indulging in the finer things in life. The theatre, spa visits, and good meals with family and friends are some of my favourite ways to unwind and recharge. Life is an adventure, and I’m grateful for every moment of it.
