The new Italian national airline – ITA has confirmed it’s to operate from London Heathrow next year, with a new twice-daily service to Rome Fiumicino. Now part of the Lufthansa Group of airlines, ITA will operate twice a day from Terminal 2 – alongside its other Lufthansa partners (Lufthansa, Eurowings, Austrian, Swiss, Brussels Airlines) – offering onward connections to its network out of the Italian capital. As a result, they will close their existing services at London City and Gatwick.
