Jane McDonald returns to Channel 5 on 2nd January at 9pm with a new six-part travel series, Jane McDonald: From Pole to Pole, filmed onboard Scenic and Emerald Cruises. The opening episode sees her begin an epic journey from Antarctica to the Arctic aboard the ultra-luxury yachts Scenic Eclipse and Emerald Sakara, combining expedition cruising with immersive storytelling and striking visuals.

Across the series, Jane explores some of the world’s most dramatic regions, from the Antarctic Peninsula and South Georgia to the Mediterranean, Norway, Svalbard and the Arctic Circle. Highlights include zodiac landings, close encounters with wildlife, helicopter flights and a behind-the-scenes look at life onboard these purpose-built yachts, with each episode ending on a personal note as Jane performs a song inspired by her travels.
