Regent Holidays has returned Turkmenistan to its programme with four new itineraries for 2026 departures: one small-group tour and three bespoke, privately guided trips. It marks the operator’s first full relaunch of the destination since Covid and is positioned as the most comprehensive Turkmenistan offering currently available to the UK market.
Following steady enquiries and quiet sales through 2024, Regent is now making the trips available online due to growing demand. All packages include the required Turkmen Letter of Invitation and an English-speaking guide.
Turkmenistan offers a striking mix of Silk Road history and dramatic landscapes, from the Darvaza Gas Crater and desert canyons to the Caspian coast, Soviet-era architecture, ancient mosques and several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Itineraries also focus on meaningful local encounters, with opportunities to meet guides, artisans, farmers and business owners, and to experience everyday life and regional cuisine.
Andrea Godfrey, Head of Regent, said the return follows the reliable relaunch of direct flights from Gatwick in April 2024. She added that the new programme has been shaped by Senior Product and Travel Specialist Carl Meadows, who has recently returned from an in-depth research trip, refreshing supplier relationships and uncovering new experiences to strengthen Regent’s offer for discerning travellers.
We travelled to Uzbekistan with Regent Holidays a couple of years ago, and know they are true experts at what they do in the region, especially travelling with Carl who a fountain of all knowledge to the region.
