Day 1
International Flight
Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Hanoi.
Day 2-3
Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi and transfer privately to your hotel, with time to relax or explore the nearby Hoan Kiem Lake, especially enchanting after dark. The following day, enjoy a private guided tour taking in Ho Chi Minh’s former residence, the Temple of Literature, and the Fine Arts Museum, before wandering through the bustling streets of the Old Quarter.
Day 4
Haiphong
This morning take a private transfer to Haiphong, where you board your traditional Vietnamese junk. Spend the afternoon cruising around Lan Ha Bay’s thousands of limestone islets and caves and see the sun setting over the calm waters before enjoying a wonderful dinner under the stars. All meals are included during your stay on board.
Day 5-6
Hue
Begin the day watching the sunrise over the bay before returning to Hanoi for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and the next morning explore Hue’s historic landmarks with your guide, including the Imperial Citadel and Emperor Tu Duc’s mausoleum.
Day 7-8
Hoi An
Drive from Hue to Hoi An, enjoying scenic rice paddies and the stunning Hai Van Pass, before settling into your hotel and taking the afternoon to explore the riverside town. The following day, discover Hoi An’s UNESCO-listed historic district with a private guide, visit the ancient Cham temples at My Son, and spend the afternoon at leisure, perhaps relaxing by the hotel pool.
Day 9-10
Ho Chi Minh City
Fly from Danang to Ho Chi Minh City and, in the evening, explore the city on a Vespa tour, sampling street food, enjoying local music, and seeing the city through the eyes of an expert guide. The following day, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels by speedboat to learn about the Vietnam War and Viet Cong guerrilla tactics, with the option to enter some of the tunnels and view historical exhibitions.
