As the capital of Morocco, Rabat often flies under the radar of many travellers. The Kasbah of the Udayas, perched above the Atlantic, is a maze of white-and-blue alleyways with sweeping sea views and a peaceful garden to wander through. The Mohammed V Mausoleum and Hassan Tower offer striking architecture and a glimpse into the country’s royal heritage, while the nearby medina feels more laid-back and accessible than others in Morocco, ideal for a relaxed browse.
