Journey Through The Indus Valley

This 12-day journey through southern and central Pakistan begins in the coastal city of Karachi, where visits to religious and cultural landmarks such as the Shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi and the National Museum set the tone. The route moves inland to Hyderabad, stopping at key Mughal and UNESCO-listed sites like Makli Hill and the Shah Jahan Mosque. Travelling further into Sindh, the tour explores Sufi heritage in Sehwan Sharif and Bhit Shah, before reaching Larkana and the ancient ruins of Mohenjo-daro, one of the Indus Valley’s greatest cities. From here, travellers head to Sukkur, visiting the strategic 18th-century Kot Diji Fort and the impressive Sukkur Barrage.

Continuing north, the journey includes historic Bahawalpur and the striking Derawar Fort, as well as a visit to Uch Sharif and its sacred Sufi tombs. This 23-day journey through Northern Pakistan begins in the capital, Islamabad, with visits to the Lok Versa Museum, Faisal Mosque, and scenic Marghalla Hills. Travelling north, the tour explores the Swat Valley, once central to ancient Buddhist civilisation, before continuing to the remote Ayun village and into the Kalash Valleys. Here, guests experience the rich culture of the Kalash people, a unique religious minority. After a few days of local interaction and exploration, the route continues to the town of Chitral and then on to Mastuj and the Yasin Valley, with dramatic drives through mountain passes and valleys.

The second half of the journey takes travellers along the Karakoram Highway to Gilgit and the spectacular Hunza Valley, famed for its breathtaking views of Rakaposhi and its historic fortresses. Your journey begins in Islamabad, where after settling into your hotel, you’ll explore the city’s cultural landmarks, including the Institute of Folk Heritage and the grand Faisal Mosque. From there, take in sweeping views from the Margalla Hills before dining in the atmospheric Saidpur Village. Over the next few days, you’ll travel through the lush Kaghan Valley, cross the stunning Babusar Pass, and descend into the rugged Astore Gorge. Highlights include the serene alpine meadows of Rama, the wild beauty of the Deosai Plateau, and the historic streets of Skardu and Khaplu, where you’ll visit restored palaces, local mosques, and vibrant markets.

The latter half of the trip winds through the dramatic Rondu Gorge to Gilgit, and then onwards to Hunza, a valley framed by majestic peaks like Rakaposhi. You’ll visit ancient forts, meet local artisans, and sample Hunza cuisine, before heading to Attabad Lake and the Ganish Heritage Village. Returning along the famed Karakoram Highway, you’ll stop at the meeting point of the world’s three highest mountain ranges.
