
Although it can be extremely cold in the middle of winter, New York is amazingly good value usually from New Year through to about Easter. The flights are cheaper, and the hotel rates are also considerably lower – sometimes a third of the price you would be paying through some of the big events and the peak season.
As a result of sometimes really cold weather, it’s good to do things indoors, and one of New York’s biggest attractions is Broadway. Whether that’s an established play or musical – such as Hadestown, of which Jack Wolfe is starring (was in an amazing production of Next to Normal in London last summer), a popular favourite like Wicked (given we have the second instalment of the movie next month), or something new.
