As another week goes by, and the airlines start to gear up for the reopening of travel (from the UK at least), they continue to hone their route networks to meet the demand of the traveller, and what they are expecting later this summer and autumn.
Ryanair
With a gradual expansion into airports we have actually heard of, Ryanair has just announced a new base at Stockholm Arlanda, the main airport in the Swedish capital. Flights will be daily from 31 October 2021, although will operate at different times depending on the day of the week. There will also be a two-weekly service from Liverpool.
WizzAir
As our biggest ‘local’ airline, WizzAir has added another new destination to their route network from Luton, this time to the Italian city of Bari in the south of the country. Although not technically new, it complements its now extensive network in Italy, along with bases on both the mainland and islands. It will operate twice-weekly from 1 June on Thursday and Sundays (it does arrive very late into Bari though…).
