From Monday 19 July, anyone who has been fully vaccinated will have a wider scope of countries you can travel to with the government allowing quarantine-free travel from Amber list countries.

At the moment, Amber list countries include popular destinations such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Greece and Mauritius – which currently require self-isolation at home for 10 days, and tests on Day 2 and 8.

The updated guidance will align Green and Amber rules for those who have been fully vaccinated – so you would need a Covid test before you leave your destination and a PCR on or before Day 2. With our discounts, this means the testing requirements (depending on the country) could be as low as £79 in total.

Of course, the country you are heading to can set their own rules, so, therefore, could be additional testing required either before you go or whilst you are in the destination.

You will also still need to fill in a Passenger Locator Form, and there will be a new addition of proving your vaccination status (which can be provided through the NHS Covid Pass on the NHS App or by calling 119). However, anyone who has been vaccinated outside of the UK, won’t be able to take advantage of this at the moment.

There are exemptions, which include anyone who is under-18 year old who don’t need to quarantine when returning to England.

Now is a great time to book a summer holiday, with a professional who knows the system, knows what is happening and can make sure you have a great holiday!
