TravelTime World has declared that the heat really is on this winter, launching a new campaign designed to inspire a long-stay holiday abroad this winter to avoid the high cost of living at home.
Throughout the summer we have seen inflation rise, now over 10% and the highest we have seen for a generation. Combined with the conflict in Ukraine, the threat of disrupted gas supplies has fuelled price increases and uncertainty of the reliability of supply for the winter. However, we believe for some, heading abroad this winter might be a solution to some of these problems.
For just travelling to somewhere warm, the best value destinations are those which have historically been popular for long-stay holidays in Europe. Destinations like Malta, Portugal, Southern Spain, Turkey and Cyprus. If you want to venture further afield, places, where the cost of living is considerably less than in the UK, outweigh the longer flying time – especially in Thailand where flight prices remain low.
It isn’t just holidays on land where you can be away for a long time, you can do the same on sea too. There a number of excellent cruises departing in early 2023 where you can travel around the world, explore the tropics and discover new destinations. All this, and you only have to unpack once, with all your food included. It really is amazing value for money.
We have a whole page on the website dedicated to ‘The Heat is On’, with ideas from as little as £24 per person per night.
