In Coronavirus, Kenya

Following an announcement on Good Friday, four new counties have been added to the UK ‘Red List’, counties in which there is mandatory hotel quarantine when returning into the UK. They join a long list of countries, mainly in South America and southern Africa which have already been included in the list.

The new countries – Bangladesh, Kenya, Pakistan and the Philippines will be added to the list on Friday 9 April, a week after the announcement, and until it is brought in at 4am, the current rules remain. This involves the standard ‘at home quarantine’ along with additional PCR testing. Hotel quarantine only applies if you have returned from one of these counties, or travelled through one of these countries in the last 10 days.
