In Explora Journeys

There are few sporting events quite like the Monaco Grand Prix. For one extraordinary week each year, the streets of Monte Carlo become one of the most famous circuits in the world, with the harbour filled with superyachts, the grandstands packed and Formula 1 taking centre stage.

For 2027, Explora Journeys is once again putting its own luxury twist on the experience. From 2–7 June 2027, Explora I will be docked in Port Hercule throughout the Grand Prix, just steps from the circuit, and it will be the only ship of its kind to hold this position for the entire race weekend.

It creates a rather different way to experience Monaco: your suite becomes your base in the heart of the action, with the excitement of the circuit outside and the space, privacy and calm of Explora I waiting whenever you want to step away from it all.

Six days at the heart of Monaco

The dedicated Monaco experience runs for five nights, taking guests from the build-up to the Grand Prix through qualifying and race day.

Thursday sees Monaco begin to transform as teams make their final preparations and the harbour fills with superyachts. By Friday, the unmistakable sound of Formula 1 arrives as the circuit comes alive, followed by qualifying on Saturday and the Grand Prix itself on Sunday 6 June.

Throughout the weekend, Explora I provides its own programme of Formula 1-inspired experiences. Guests can follow the racing live at the Conservatory Pool, take part in a morning run on the legendary circuit, enjoy golden-hour cocktails and settle into evenings of entertainment and parties onboard.

It means that guests don’t have to choose between being close to the action and having somewhere peaceful to retreat to, as with Explora you get both!

Three ways to experience the Grand Prix

Explora Journeys is offering three ways to experience the Monaco weekend, depending on how closely you want to get to the racing.

Suite & 3-Day F1 Paddock Club™ Hospitality

If you’re looking for the full VIP experience, the Paddock Club option combines a sea or Monaco-view suite aboard Explora I with three-day F1 Paddock Club hospitality.

Alongside gourmet hospitality, live music and entertainment, the package includes an Aramco Formula 1 Pitlane Walk and appearances from drivers and Formula 1 ambassadors, providing a glimpse behind the scenes of the teams and the people at the centre of the sport.

Suite & 3-Day Grandstand Access

For those who want to watch the racing from trackside, the Grandstand option combines their Explora I suite with three-day premium Grandstand access.

The grandstand is positioned between the Swimming Pool chicane and Rascasse, directly opposite the pit lane, giving guests a view across the harbour straight and towards the teams at work. A giant screen lets them follow the action around the rest of the circuit, while the position offers an excellent view of the cars as they negotiate one of Monaco’s most famous sections.

Suite-Only

The Suite-Only option provides the full Explora I experience in Port Hercule, alongside live coverage of the Grand Prix and a programme of exclusive onboard events and experiences. Guests can watch the race on the big screen at the Conservatory Pool, enjoy the ship’s restaurants and bars, or retreat to their suite and private terrace while Monaco races around them. For an enhanced view, a suite overlooking Monaco is also available for a supplement.

This fare does not include Formula 1, Formula 2 or Formula 3 tickets or race access.

More than just five nights in Monaco

The Monaco Grand Prix doesn’t have to be a standalone trip. Explora Journeys has created a selection of longer Mediterranean Journeys around the race weekend, giving the opportunity to combine Formula 1 with destinations before or after Monaco.

Options range from 13 to 22 nights, including journeys between Civitavecchia, Monaco and Barcelona. There are departures from 24 May and 1–2 June 2027, creating the possibility of making the Grand Prix the centrepiece of a much longer Mediterranean escape rather than a short race weekend.
