Jet2 is taking on easyJet at Stansted (and to an extent the Eurostar), with another city break destination from its largest base in the south east – Paris. At four times a week, it’s ideal for a weekend city break, or maybe even a trip over to Eurodisney, which isn’t too far from Charles de Gaulle airport (and given there is no longer a direct Disney train, a flight isn’t such a crazy idea.)
In addition to the Stansted service, they are also introducing Paris from East Midlands and Manchester. To make way for these flights, they are dropping both Athens and Rome from Stansted, both of which are served by Ryanair at the airport, by far the largest airline at Stansted.
