Britanny has long been a favourite of the British, with medieval towns, lovely coastlines and pretty fishing villages. Although it’s quite easy to drive, either on Le Shuttle or on a ferry, there hasn’t always been a choice of flying for those who driving doesn’t appeal.
Starting next July, easyJet is starting a new service from Luton to Rennes twice a week on Thursday and Sundays, which includes the peak summer months.
Rennes itself as a historic centre with colourful half-timbered houses, cobbled streets and independent shops. There’s also the Parliament of Brittany, the Thabor Gardens and a thriving market.
