We were reticent about booking our holiday to Mauritius but Jackie at Travel Time World assured us we were in safe hands. We didn’t book until mid-October and were away for two weeks in December at the Beachcomber Dinarobin.
The pre-departure process was very straightforward – we took PCR tests two days before travel and got the results the day before – we used Randox, we filled in the Passenger Locator Form.
All forms were checked at the airport as well as our Covid vaccination certificates.
On arrival at the hotel we were tested for free with a lateral flow test, tested again at 5 days and the day before we came home. The checks at Mauritius airport were the same and we did a PCR at home.
Whilst it sounds like a lot of hassle it probably takes an hour each way altogether to get it all done. Definitely worth it for the gorgeous two weeks of sun we had. If you are organised it is a breeze – go for it – you won’t be disappointed! The hotel had great measures in place and we felt Covid secure at all times.
