Today, which is said to be one of the busiest days for air travel as English schools start to close for the summer holidays, has brought another day of challenges not just for travel, but how society operates as a whole. With it already busy, there were bound to be some problems anyway, that’s just normal for the summer – but a worldwide IT outage affecting airlines, airports, shops, tv networks, payment system – has caused a curveball.
However, if you had booked with a professional ABTA travel agent and are travelling today there’s great news and better than that, that’s us. Even if your holiday or travel plans are disrupted, even if there are delays or cancellations they are there to help you. Yes, no queuing at airports to try and rebook your flight, hanging on a phone that never answers, or fear being stuck in a resort not knowing what to do when you have to vacate your room. We will do everything in our power to make it as easy as possible, so you have to do very little apart from enjoying what you can.
We’re not a part-time operation, but we are there for you when needed. That includes our 24/7 helpline, where you’ll be able to contact one of us in the case of an emergency – our service doesn’t end with money, but knowing that you have returned safely home, in as little stress as possible from a great holiday.
Little do people know until now – but I have started tracking all our client’s flights, so we know when there are likely to be long delays and can keep in touch with our clients if they need assistance or advice in the process. You don’t get this from any travel agent….
Unfortunately, if you have booked elements separately as it saved a few pounds, you won’t have anyone there to help you.
