EasyJet is returning to the Egyptian city of Luxor for the first time in ten years, with a new twice-weekly service this winter.
Luxor is often referred to as the world’s greatest open-air museum, offering an unparalleled glimpse into ancient Egyptian history and culture. The city is home to the Karnak Temple Complex, a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, and pylons, with the grand Hypostyle Hall featuring towering columns.
The Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated at night, stands proudly in the city centre. Across the Nile, the Valley of the Kings awaits, where the tombs of pharaohs, including Tutankhamun, are carved into the rock. Nearby, the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues, stand as sentinels to the past. The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, with its stunning terraces, offers another architectural marvel. Plus, of course you can experience this on a Nile cruise.
