easyJet is linking one of our favourite European destinations from Luton this winter, the wonderful country of Slovenia. A new three-weekly service will link our local airport with its capital, Ljubljana, from October, just in time for the winter ski season. Yes, the slopes are just over an hour away – the most famous being Kranjska Gora, but you’re also not very far away from southern Austria.
Both Jackie and I have travelled around Slovenia in the summer months, and think it’s just a wonderful place to visit with so much diversity. Nothing is too far away, and you can easily switch between city break, lakeside retreat, mountains and a wonderful ‘beach’ stay on its small but perfectly formed coastline.
