Ashley won the ESG Champion Award from Advantage as part of their ‘Big Celebration Lunch’ in London last week, for his efforts in promoting sustainable and ethical tourism over the last nine months, and the progress we have made a business in this area.
As an Advantage member, he picked up the award from Head of Operations Lee Ainsworth and host for the day Mark Durden-Smith (Judith Chalmer’s son) at a glittering event in London last Friday.
At the event, in reply to Mr Durden-Smith asking if the travel industry was doing enough in this area, Ashley said ‘Probably not, and what most don’t realise is that we can all do something to help, and you might already be doing something to help without realising it.’
This is an area where we have only just got started, and are excited to continue our efforts into next year working collaboratively with others and promoting additional services and products to aid us in being more sustainable.
