Jet2 will be flying to Samos for the first time in Summer 2026, adding to the number of destinations in Greece we have direct connections to from London. Of course, we’re all used to heading to the well-known islands such as Crete, Corfu, Rhodes, Kos, Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Mykonos and Santorini – but there are many other places we can also fly to including Preveza (for Lefkada), Kalamata, Skiathos, Myteline (Lesbos) just to name a few.
As a less commercialised destination, Samos has some amazing beaches, ranging from the wide sandy shores of Psili Ammos to more secluded pebbly coves such as Tsamadou. The waters are crystal clear and ideal for swimming or snorkelling (especially at the end of the summer when the sea is warmer). There are still the traditional fishing villages of Kokkari and Pythagoreio, which have whitewashed houses, and waterfront tavernas and offer a slower pace of life. It’s named after the birthplace of Pythagoras, with the island having a rich history including the Heraion – a sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Hera.
Departures start 7 May 2026, initially weekly – increasing to twice weekly from 6 July 2026
