Jet2 only announced its base at Luton Airport late last year, basing two aircraft exclusively at the airport for the summer with a number of popular services across the Med, including two exclusive routes to Gerona and Verona.
Next year, we’ll be getting a third aircraft for the summer, which will allow expansion on some of the existing services and a handful of new ones (which at the moment will be exclusive to the carrier). A number of the Greek routes are getting much-needed increases, with Heraklion (Crete), Rhodes and Zante being upgraded from weekly to twice weekly, allowing ten-night holidays. There’s a third weekly for Antalya in Turkey, and also a second for Fuerteventura (the only increase for the Canary Islands). Palma is also being upgraded to daily.
Of the new routes, there’s a twice-weekly Menorca, Kos and Corfu, and weekly Preveza and Skiathos.
