Berlin
Berlin, the vibrant capital of Germany, is a city steeped in history and renowned for its eclectic culture. The iconic Brandenburg Gate, a symbol of unity, stands proudly in the heart of the city, while nearby, the Reichstag Building offers breathtaking views from its glass dome. History enthusiasts can visit the Berlin Wall Memorial and the East Side Gallery, where colorful murals on remnants of the Wall tell stories of division and reconciliation. The city’s Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, houses world-class institutions like the Pergamon Museum and the Neues Museum, offering fascinating insights into art, history, and archaeology.
Berlin’s dynamic neighborhoods add to its unique charm, each offering its own distinct vibe. Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain are hotspots for street art, indie cafes, and nightlife, perfect for travelers seeking a more alternative experience. For a more relaxed atmosphere, Prenzlauer Berg boasts tree-lined streets, boutique shops, and family-friendly parks. The sprawling Tiergarten, Berlin’s largest park, provides a tranquil escape in the city center, ideal for leisurely walks, picnics, or even a paddleboat ride on the nearby lake. The city’s culinary offerings are equally diverse, ranging from traditional German dishes like currywurst and schnitzel to international cuisines reflecting Berlin’s multicultural population.
Throughout the year, Berlin hosts a range of events that attract visitors from around the globe. The Berlinale International Film Festival showcases cutting-edge cinema, while the annual Festival of Lights transforms the city’s landmarks into illuminated works of art. During the holiday season, Berlin’s Christmas markets, such as the Gendarmenmarkt, captivate visitors with festive lights, mulled wine, and handcrafted gifts. Whether exploring its historical landmarks, indulging in its creative energy, or simply enjoying its green spaces, Berlin offers an unforgettable experience that seamlessly blends the past with the present.

Hotel de Rome
Our Favourite
Nestled in the heart of historic East Berlin, just a stone’s throw away from Museum Island, Gendarmenmarkt, and the charming shops and restaurants of Friedrichstraße, lies Hotel De Rome. The Brandenburg Gate is a mere 15-minute stroll away. This elegant hotel boasts a unique blend of ornate, classical architecture and a contemporary twist, thanks to the creative design of Tommaso Ziffer.
